Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran, born March 10, 1949 is an American businesswoman and investor. She is also a public speaker and consultant, a columnist syndicated, speaker as an author, author, and television presenter. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was sold to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran resigned from the company within a short time. Corcoran is among ABC's original Shark Tank investors. Since her inception, she has been in each season of Shark Tank. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts until February, 2020. Her biggest deal was her $350,000 investment in Coverplay for 40%. Corcoran was second child in a family of 10 children and was raised in Edgewater. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mother and was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr., her father, was always changing jobs during Corcoran's career. Her family often relied on the free delivery of food from a friendly local supermarket. Corcoran remembers her father as a drunkard who sometimes treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially when the fact that he was drinking. Corcoran struggled with her education and was diagnosed with dyslexia. Corcoran went to a Catholic elementary school in her neighborhood and began high school at St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. After failing several classes during her first year of high school, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School, where she graduated as a D student.
