Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously worked in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011) as well as the spokesperson for the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrat for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed as the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's campaign for president in 2004. Psaki was the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to the year 2006. Psaki was the press secretary to the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. 20 Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 to become the communications director. She was a part of the Obama administration until its end.
