Maria Elena Bello is an American actress from the United States. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). Bello has appeared on television in roles including Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997) and Payback (1999) and Coyote Ugly (2000) as well as The Cooler (2003) The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), Michelle McBride (2016) and Special Agent Jacqueline Sloane (2021-2021). Bello was born on April 18, 1967 in Norristown, Pennsylvania,[2] to Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She grew up in a poor, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Her subject was in political sciences at Villanova University. Bello was a stage actor in New York and continued to enhance her acting skills after graduation. Bello, along with Dan McDermott is the proud mother of Jackson. [18] In November 2013 Bello wrote about her first partner Clare Munn's relationship with a same-sex partner. She published a book titled Whatever...Love Is a Love: Examining the labels We Put on Ourself. (Dey Street Books. April 28, 2015).
